Stuff The Truck Donation Intake Event-Berry Creek United

Various donation intake for any fire survivors.

Donations may include: all camping gear, tents, sleeping bags, tarps, pop-up canopies, fold up tables, fold up chairs, ice chests, lanterns, camp stoves, propane tanks (5 gallon and 1 gallon), pots, pans, hygiene, feminine products, diapers, adult diapers, cases of water, cases of sports drinks, mosquito repellent, flashlights, batteries, Coleman lantern fluid, toothbrushes, toothpaste, mouthwash, deodorant, mosquito repellent, toilet paper, paper towels, flashlights, batteries (all sizes!), school supplies for kids, backpacks for kids. New items only: toys, kids’ shoes, men’s and women’s shoes (in a box size and gender appropriate).

Donations will also be accepted at Les Schwab in Quincy on Main any time after 10am on Sunday, August 15th. Donations of motorhomes, trailers and vehicles for fire survivors are documented with a tax write off from the Berry Creek United Group. Roadmap to Recovery Q&A for 2020 Wildfire Survivors (Bear Fire) – United Policyholders

Offering a free webinar with guidance on wildfire insurance claim questions to households in California that were impacted by a wildfire in 2020. UP staff members will go over frequently asked insurance claim questions. Those who would like to submit a question to be addressed during this Q&A webinar may do so by completing this form: www.uphelp.org/r2rhelp. Finishing Your Contents Inventory Workshop (Camp Fire) – United Policyholders

Offering a webinar for households in California that were impacted by a wildfire in 2018/2019. United Policyholders staff members and panelists will help participants complete their contents inventory to receive the benefits owed to them. Registration is required. Weekly Events

(Mondays) Food Box Giveaways- Love Paradise (Paradise Adventist Church)

Offering a weekly distribution of food boxes that contain fresh produce as well as dairy, eggs, cheese and meat. Available Mondays from 10am-2pm or until supplies run out. Located at Paradise Adventist Church parking lot, 5720 Academy Drive. Drop-in during distribution hours. Boxes are first come, first served, while supplies last.


(Mondays) Paradise Community Guilds

Meets every second and fourth Monday of the month to provide support and information, including help with insurance, addressing trauma, fire-resistant building methods, community emotional support, and community building. Open to all Paradise residents impacted by the fire. Located at Lotus Guide Center, 6268 Skyway, Paradise. Hours, every second Monday at 5:15PM for a potluck, with a presentation at 6pm. Business meetings begin at 7pm. On fourth Mondays at 5PM, Paradise Community Guilds will be presenting their new film series, “Conscientious Projector.” The public is invited to both events. (Tuesdays) African American Family & Cultural Center- “Soul Sessions”

(Tuesdays) African American Family & Cultural Center “Creature Creation Sessions”

Creature Creation Sessions with Taz Yamaguchi is an art program that will teach participants ages 10-18 how to paint, draw and create their own artwork. This program will be every Tuesday beginning Oct. 6th from 3:30pm to 4:30pm via Zoom and is supported by the Butte County Office of Education’s Teaching Artists in the Schools program with a grant from the Sierra Health Foundation. (Wednesdays 06-16/21-08/04/2021) Paradise Chamber-Party In The Park

The Paradise Ridge Chamber of Commerce, in cooperation with the Town of Paradise, is proud to host a weekly summer celebration of community and commerce. Party in the Park will be weekly on Wednesday beginning June 16th through August 4th. Located in the historic heart of Paradise, Party in the Park Music & Marketplace is a convergence of families, community members, and commerce that reinforces neighborhood bonds as we gather in our hometown. This 8-week event features produce, craft, commercial and non-profit vendors, live bands, and intermission acts featuring dance, youth groups and demonstrations. (Thursdays) Paradise Alliance Church – Community Dinner

Offering a free dinner to the ridge community Thursday nights from 5:30pm-6:30 pm. Dinner may be picked up at the North Side Drive Thru. The Paradise Alliance church community dinner is available to Camp Fire survivors and all interested individuals. Located at 6491 Clark Road, Paradise. (Thursdays) Downtown Chico Business Association- Chico Farmers Market

Offers seasonal Thursday night farmers Market and street festival in downtown Chico.  Farm-fresh produce, food, artisans, live entertainment, jump houses, and special children’s activities. CalFresh recipients can use tokens for designated food produce vendors; first exchange EBT food stamp dollars for tokens at booth at 3rd Street and Broadway.  Tokens are not interchangeable between other farmer’s markets. (Thursdays & Fridays) Family Summerfest (Creative Arts, Media)- Paradise Alliance Church

Paradise Alliance Church is  offering free Family Summerfest every Thursday and Friday evening starting at 5:30 pm throughout the summer (beginning Thursday, June 17th).  Family Summerfest will feature free events and food. Current Covid Guidelines apply. Take out or dine in dinner and activity. The Family Summerfest series will run from Thursday, June 17th through Friday, August 27th. (Fridays) Concert in the Park Series- Feather River Recreation & Park District

Feather River Recreation & Parks District is hosting their 15th annual Concerts in the Park series. The Concert in the Park Series offers a way for family and friends to gather in local parks to enjoy live music performed by bands. Every Friday evening (beginning Friday, June 18th) from 6:30pm to 8pm at Riverbend Park in Oroville. Local vendors and food trucks will be available from 4pm-8pm on concert nights. This year’s series will run from Friday, June 18th through Friday, August 13th. Located at River Bend Park, 60 Montgomery Street, Oroville.
